Natural Grass Greens in the Landscape
Dream it.
Many people tend to shy away from the realistic possibility of natural grass green, I mean we’ve all considered it. Forget about the doubts because I’ve already thought about it all. Instead, think about the result. A light warm-up in your backyard before a round, a casual Summer night with friends, or simply showing off your landscape to guests. People will wonder how it’s possible, and it most certainly is.
Build it.
Your green would likely be the new central focus of your landscape, and the best part is that most any design will compliment a putting green. My preferred philosophy is letting the turf do the talking with a minimalistic design around it. More is not always better!
Grow it.
The construction of a natural grass green may be surprisingly simple to you, and far simpler drainage-wise than an artificial green. An artificial surface is great, but you lose the ownership element with it; in other words, consider a product that changes with the seasons, something that grows, and can be kept in the ground for hundreds of years!
