Hi there! My name is Danny Olson, and quite simply, I love grass; that sounds weird, so let’s rewind a bit. I was born and raised in the Brainerd Lakes Area, graduated from Brainerd High, and have grown to understand the importance of a solid local economy. Through my passions of golf and music, I was able to learn this firsthand at a young age. Since I couldn’t play on the PGA Tour, I attended turfgrass school shortly after high school. I worked under as many golf course superintendents as possible; ALL that I wanted to do was work and learn! Working both locally and in South Dakota (even alongside a superintendent who hosted a PGA Championship! Of course, Tiger almost won that year), I quickly developed a third passion that is properly titled turfgrass science. I am thrilled to be bringing the coveted old school turfgrass management style to Lakes Area backyards, while balancing the new techniques of the 21st century. Maybe you want me to build a bentgrass putting green, or a Wimbledon style ryegrass tennis court. How about a pasture of wildflowers mixed with fine fescue? Even just a basic maintenance program will densify and darken your lawn. The design and maintenance possibilities are limitless. I can assure you that my Turf and Green team will build and maintain with science, pollinators, and the environment in constant check.
